Label: No Plans To Re-Release SLIPKNOT's Debut Album
February 4, 2006Contrary to a recent report published on a SLIPKNOT fan site, Roadrunner Records have NO plans to reissue the band's self-titled debut album from 1999 in an expanded double-disc edition, a Roadrunner representative has told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. Although there were discussions at one point about possibily re-releasing the disc with bonus tracks, those plans have since been cancelled.
SLIPKNOT went on hiatus at the end of 2005 after nearly 18 months on the road in support of their third album, 2004's "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)".
SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root are now recording the second album from their other band, STONE SOUR, while percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan will make a new album with his side project, TO MY SURPRISE. Meanwhile, SLIPKNOT's Joey Jordison has been confirmed as the drummer for the touring lineup of MINISTRY, which will kick off a 60-date North American trek on May 6.
